Bank and asset statements printed from the internet pose a couple of problems, which is why we generally say we cannot use them. If you need to provide internet statements, and they satisfy the issues mentioned below, we may be able to use them.

First, most statements or histories printed from the internet are missing at least one of the following (all of these are required in order to use a statement):

• Full Name
• Account Number
• Institution Name
• 30 day history

Even when all of the above are present, we sometimes still have difficulties getting internet statements through Underwriting because of concerns over the potential for fraud. If you have access to paper statements from your bank or financial institution, those are always preferred.

Print-outs provided by your bank or financial institution can also be problematic if the following procedure is not followed on every page:

• Each page must be stamped with the bank's identification
• The Account Number must be present on every page
• The Account Holder's Name must be present on every page
• A bank representative needs to sign and date the print-out
• The history needs to encompass 30 days
